Top 6 Mediterranean Luxury Cruise Brands

Last week, we shared with you the Top 5 Luxury Ocean Destinations.

And now that we know that Mediterranean cruises top the list, I thought it might be informative to learn the top luxury cruise brands sailing in the Mediterranean as defined by their capacity.

While these cruise lines vary quite a bit in their individual interpretations of luxury, I was surprised to see our friends at Viking Ocean Cruises at the top of the list with three ships and a capacity of 43,719 which more than doubles the capacity of the number two brand.

I’m pretty confident the reason for Viking’s large capacity lead is that they encourage folks to visit the Mediterranean in what they call the Quiet Season.
