Viking Expedition Cruises 2022

Viking Expedition Cruises will begin sailing in 2022.

Viking invited Carol and me to their launch event back in January of 2020. We came away very impressed with the level of thought and ingenuity that went into their custom-designed ships.

You see, Viking knows well that their primary cruisers are baby boomers and older.  And in this age group, there is apprehension around the level of exertion and mobility required for such a cruise.

Climbing aboard Viking’s small excursion craft will be as easy as boarding a ride at Disney!

And while you will need a certain mobility level for these cruises, Viking’s innovative “Hangar” will allow guests to board the small excursion craft from inside the ship.  And when possible, guests will explore the destination in comfortable Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs).

And as you can see below, Viking’s Hangar will allow the RIBs to motor right into the ship’s interior.

Viking’s innovative design is more akin to climbing aboard a ride at Disney.  No more will you have to climb down rickety stairs to a tender bobbing and weaving in the ocean. Pretty sweet.  Right?  🙂

• The Great Lakes & Canada
• Grand Journeys

How to Book a Viking Expedition Cruise
