Sailing the Gastineau Channel, Inside Passage, Alaska

I snapped this photograph with my iPhone looking down the Gastineau Channel we had just traversed sailing with Crystal Cruises.  I quickly snapped up my iPhone to capture this photograph as it gives you a sense of scale as you consider the massive cruise ship against the steep walls of the fjord.

To help give you yet another perspective of this beautiful area, here’s a photograph that I shot from atop the fjord to the left on our first Alaskan cruise in 2011.
