Do you ever dream of following the footsteps of Paul Gauguin and running away to the South Pacific? I will never ever, ever forget this view that I captured on my iPhone (right) as we flew into Bora Bora.
Well, I suppose running away to Bora Bora isn’t very practical for most, but we certainly highly recommend a visit. To see more about our visits to Bora Bora, click here.
Bora Bora is stunningly beautiful, a destination for lovers to hide away; and as you might guess, a very aqua-centric destination as well.
When visiting Bora Bora, we recommend that you take one day and drive around the island. It’s a fairly small island. Therefore, circumnavigating the island in a day is easily accomplished. So, take your time!
Faauni Bay Village Church
I captured this photograph as we poked around the tiny village of Faauni Bay on our journey around the island.
In my reading about the island of Bora Bora, I learned that 88% of the island is protestant. Protestantism was brought to Bora Bora by the London Missionary Society in 1820. And, as you drive around this tiny island, you’re certain to find a number of picturesque protestant churches like this one to photograph.
Take my word for it, if you like tropical beach destinations, Bora Bora belongs on your bucket list. To do a little destination research on Bora Bora, CLICK HERE.

Allow me to introduce you to our clients and friends, Lane and Debbie from East Lansing, Michigan as they pose in front of one of the Piazza Navona fountains in Rome, Italy. This photo is hot off the press as they just got back a few days ago.
Lane called us about a year ago with a desire to whisk Debbie away on a romantic tour of Italy. Lane, ever the romantic and a previous Italy traveler, had visions of again exploring Italy. Only this time, exploring the allure of Italy with his beautiful wife.
Lane and Debbie are very successful business owners and came to us looking for help. They knew the type of experience they were looking for, but as busy business owners, preferred to have us, their trusted travel designers, make it all happen.
Knowing that they were looking to experience the romance of Italy, we put together a fabulous private itinerary for them that started in Rome and moved up through Sienna, Florence and ending in Venice. Their experience included fabulous hotels, cooking classes, wine tastings, private tours at all of the famous sights, as well as effortless white-glove transportation experiences as we moved them from place to place.
Here’s a quote from a email that we received from Lane just this morning:
Overall, everything went smoothly, all of our guides were excellent, the cooking experiences were great, and we wouldn’t have changed anything.
Phew! While we’re confident in our ability to create such experiences, we’re always leery of the dozens of moving pieces that must flow to make a fabulous experience come together.
Welcome home Lane and Debbie! We’re proud to have you as clients and very pleased that you placed your trust in us for this very important romantic getaway.
So, how about you dear reader? Do you have a romantic getaway in mind that we can help you plan? If so, please give us a call at (480) 550-1235, or use our convenient online information request from by clicking here.
