Expect Massive Lines at TSA Security This Summer

If you don’t want to wind up looking like this guy, be forewarned: the travel industry, airlines, airports, and federal officials are all warning passengers about the great likelihood of “epic” lines backing up at TSA security stations this summer in our nation’s airports.

Why? Fewer screeners, tighter budgets, newer procedures at checkpoints, and an expected record number of travelers this summer.

In fact, a recent NY Times article warns: Catching a Flight? Budget Hours, Not Minutes, for Security.

Even some television stations are recommending that their viewers take the TSA to task for the long airport security lines.

Bottom Line?

A week before you head out to the airport, do a little homework on social media to determine what you might be facing in the way of lines at the TSA security stations. How horrible would it be to miss your dream vacation because you unexpectedly spent hours in line at the airport. Horrible. Right?

Improving TSA:
Hire more Veterans.
Change system
Update more use passive scanners,
More K9s.
Change policies & rules, since terrorists never do.
Be flexible
Follow the Person from Origins IE Syria, Iraq to US.
Update passenger lists.
Automate TSA lines more.
Passive 3D X ray screening luggage.
Incentives to work for TSA.

More can be done for TSA & downsize TSA DC bureaucracy alone can Help.
Expand Air Marshall service on flights.

Or expect Pvt Jet use to Rise BIG Time.

    Cant handle the bureaucracy & looking up peoples clothing I dont like & mind numbing scanning luggage Please
    Automate those positions alone.
    ID items to probe IE Real Guns, TNT etc.
    something.
    Only airport I could work for TSA is Burbank Airport, near home, forget LAX.

Or offer Screening kiosks after leaving baggage at front desk alone to commence process.
Use passive scanners, sensors, for TNT etc.
& speed up TSA lines.
Once U check bags, screening begins at same floor level.
Timeline for process: 30 min.
IF automated.
