Morning views from the Terranea Resort

We found paradise at the Terranea Resort on the Southern California Coast just outside Los Angeles.

The dictionary on my MacBook defines paradise as “an ideal or idyllic place or state“, and as we awoke this morning to fabulous views of the Pacific coast with Catalina Island in the background, flocks of pelicans surveying the ocean for their breakfast of fresh fish, all from our ocean bluff perch at the Terranea Resort, paradise was one of the first words that came to my mind.

I suppose when one thinks of Los Angeles, an idyllic costal ocean retreat isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. However, with LA a mere 25 miles away, we think this just might be one of the best combinations to explore this exciting city.  It’s an easy trip into the city for all the Los Angeles has to offer, and the evenings can then be spent in the hush of this luxurious award-winning resort.
