Best Time to Visit Scottsdale
When is the best time of the year to visit Scottsdale, Arizona?
When the leaves are gone from the trees in the northern regions of North America, seniors, travelers, and snowbirds flock to Arizona by the millions.
The big draw?
The sun, warm temperatures, golf, fabulous resorts, hiking, Sedona, the Grand Canyon, southwest cuisine, and much more.
Carol and I moved to Arizona full-time in November of 2006.
We, too, longed to be away from the long dreary winters that we had endured in the midwest for most of our lives.
And while it is indeed hot here in the summer, we joke with friends and family that we don’t have to shovel sunshine.
I remember quipping to my uncle years ago that Arizona’s summer heat is a dry heat. He responded with, “so is my oven’s heat.”
Arizona’s weather is glorious from September through May. The monsoon months of June, July, and August are hot.
So when is the best time of the year to visit Scottsdale, Arizona?
We love the month of April best of all.
The afternoon temperatures are generally in the 70s and 80s. There is generally very little precipitation this time of year. And this is the time of year that the Sonoran Desert comes alive with wildflowers and flowering cactus.
So, now that you’ve got your Covid vaccinations, come out and visit Scottsdale. You will love it. I promise.
