Airline Travel Tip: Avoid Frustration by Booking Earlier
We’ve been helping folks plan fabulous vacations all over the world, and there’s really only one thing that stands in the way of a successful and stress-free planning process: people wait too long to begin the trip planning process. And, this is particularly true if you’re planning an overseas vacation.
You see, if you’re planning a vacation to a popular destination during busy times for that destination, you’re likely to find the hotels nearly full, and more importantly, the best available seats on the airlines are going to be sold out.
In fact, the only time we find our clients showing frustration is when it comes to booking airline flights to a busy destination with a short travel planning window to work with.
Avoid frustration, start your travel planning process no less than six month in advance!
Here’s a simple fact from your travel experts, when considering an overseas destination, start no less than six months ahead of your desired travel dates! Not only have airlines figured out how to have their planes filled to capacity these days, but if you wait too long, you’ll also wind up with very expensive fares due to the airlines daily capacity pricing models.
We are currently helping clients plan a fabulous trip to a European destination in June. Not only are the hotels nearly all booked, but the airline flights are a complete disaster. We’re having a very hard time finding them two seats together, and the best flights are gone – leaving our poor clients with very ugly layovers.
Furthermore, some destinations are so popular, you really must begin your travel planning a year in advance.
Again, I say, if you’re planning a wonderful vacation to a popular destination, be certain to start planning no less than six months ahead of time. Otherwise, you’re likely to wind up pulling your hair out, and arriving at your destination completely wiped out. Or, worse yet, not even being able to get to your destination because of full airline flights.
You’ve been warned! 🙂
