Yosemite National Park Celebrates 150th Birthday

While we enjoy what the travel industry calls luxury travel, for me (David), there’s nothing better than standing in some of the most beautiful places of God’s creation.
I shot this photograph in August of 2006, and I’ll never forget the remarkable beauty that we witnessed in this place. If you’ve never been to Yosemite National Park, it absolutely must be on your bucket list.
Yosemite National Park Turns 150 Years Old
Amid the pressures of the Civil War, on June 30, 1864, President Abraham Lincoln signed the Yosemite Grant Act to protect Yosemite Valley and Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias.
