Wildfish Seafood Grille ~ Arizona Restaurant Week 2010
Wildfish Seafood Grille, Scottsdale, Arizona – The sixth stop on our seven night Arizona Restaurant Week 2010 Tour is Wildfish Seafood Grille.
Wildfish Seafood Grille, located at the Scottsdale Waterfront, offers the finest fresh fish, hand-shucked shellfish and Midwestern, aged USDA prime center-cut steaks set in a high energy, casual, contemporary environment focused around an exhibition kitchen, innovative raw bar and a centerpiece bar and lounge.
Executive Chef Jennifer Anderson is at the helm of this operation and we found her to be very friendly and clearly passionate about her craft.
After our short visit with Chef Anderson, she must have thought we looked powerfully hungry as she sent out her pride and joy: The Wildfish All Lump Crab Cake (Sautéed with Chive Remoulade Sauce). Wow! I could have closed my eyes and thought I was in Maryland.
We began our $29 Arizona Restaurant Week 2010 three-course meal with Pacific Ahi Tuna Crudo (Mango and Radish Salad). YUM! We are both big fans of raw tuna.
For our second course, we both enjoyed Halibut “Vera Cruz” (Broth of Tomatoes, Red Peppers and Onions with Steamed White Rice). Nice. Very nice.
Now, our Arizona Restaurant Week 2010 three course meal had now come to the dessert portion of our journey. However, Chef Jennifer Anderson decided to treat us to her Pineapple Upside-Down Cake.
They brought the dish to our table, poured some delicious alcoholic concoction over it and set it afire. We were given strict instructions to let it alone until the fire subsided and then enjoy.
Wow! Enjoy we did!
As we were just about to polish off the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake, they then brought us our regularly scheduled dessert: Trio of Créme Brulee (Brown Sugar Crust and Homemade Cookies).
Oof! We were stuffed and couldn’t possibly eat this. But, we did sample. It was fantastic!
We each took a bite, shared the macaroon, and threw in the towel.
With Wildfish Seafood Grille, we have now completed our sixth destination for Arizona Restaurant Week 2010.
Thanks to Chef Jennifer and Wildfish Seafood Grille for a wonderful dining experience.
Now, off to bed and up early to burn off these calories. 🙂
