Unusual Travel Camper Built on Motorized Tricycle
A while back, I shared with you a photograph of the 1910 Stoddard-David Camping Car.
As I was doing some reading in my Google+ account this morning, Avram Piltch (Online Editor for Laptop Magazine) mentioned that after the zombie apocalypse, he would need one of these Bufalino campers to live in. [chuckle]
It seems that the Bufalino, by German industrial designer Cornelius Comanns, is a small camper which is equipped to meet the basic needs of one person. The concept behind the project is to offer absolute flexibility during periods of travel.
The minimalist construction is based on the existing Piaggio APE 50 three wheeled light transport vehicle; a model chosen for its economic and fuel efficient benefits. However, the more complex structural components such as the frame, the chassis, and engine are derived from the original Piaggio model.
I can’t say that I would want to live in this thing, but it might be fun to travel across the USA in one for kicks.
What do you think? Would you be willing to sleep in this? Comment below.

Looks comfy to me. Bet you can go miost anywhere with it. Question bathroom facilities though. 🙂
I’m getting claustrophobic just looking at it!
It does look a bit tight, doesn’t it.
YEP, it looks like it has a future.
It would be lacking a safe place to park short of say in front of a police station, so security would be an issue that would need answered. What a terrific way to travel during summer vacation. I think a whole lot of family would get visits when these become available from their younger relatives.
Then how about all the job locations that could be checked out with this kind of cheap transportation and living quarters.
Yep it is still based on cost of course.
Hey im lntrested in buying one of these have some questions are they street legeal, can they be insured and how much are is one?
Hi Jack,
I’m afraid I don’t know the answer to your questions. You might check with the manufacturer.
