Seattle Pike Place Market – I expected to have a lot of wonderful experiences  as we strolled through Seattle’s Pike Place Market.  What I didn’t expect was the sight of my wife responding to the coquettish advances of a silver man standing on a box.

My father had a phrase for a man with such a grin on his face.  However, prudence prevents me from repeating it here.

All kidding aside, a travel photographer just never knows when a photographic opportunity will present itself.  Fortunately, I was traveling with my flash mounted upon a Nikon D7000 and I was able to quickly snap these photographs.

Photography Tip:  When traveling in spots where you are likely to photograph people, keep the flash mounted on your camera.  Many would presume because this was a fairly sunny situation that a flash would not be required.  However, without the flash, I would have lost all of the detail that is present in these photographs.

Disclosure: During our Seattle trip,  I was trying out a Nikon D7000 that was on loan to us from Nikon USA.  I was very impressed with this pro-sumer camera and fully intend to replace my Nikon D80 as soon as I can get my hands on one.  Thanks Nikon!
