I shot this photograph this morning in Lyon, France. We’ve grown to love this wonderful city as it has the feel of a mini-Paris without all of the very busy hubbub. The city has somewhere north of 1,000,000 inhabitants in the greater metropolitan area, and has a nice relaxed pace and feel to it.
In this scene, we see electric buses, someone riding one of the city’s many rental bicycles, and a beautiful street lined with what they call plane trees.
I captured this scene as roughly 50 of us were accompanying the chef of the Viking River Cruises Longship Delling to a local food market. I’ll share photos and the story of that outing in another post.
For now, I hope you enjoy this beautiful scene as much as we did. Lyon is a fabulous town, and we highly recommend a visit.
Disclosure: our Southern France journey was provided by the kind folks at Viking River Cruises, and of course the comments are our own.
