Top 10 Boomer Travel Destinations for 2014
With 2013 quickly winding to a close, we decided to ask our nearly 17,000 Facebook fans a question: If time and money were no object, where would you most like to travel in 2014?
Now, while this is not likely a scientific study on the question, it does present an interesting perspective on the travel mindset of today’s baby boomers. It should also be noted that nearly 80% of our 17,000 Facebook fans are women.
Whenever we ask these types of questions, we always get a few off-the-wall comical responses as well. Here’s a few:
- Deborah says, “somewhere warm where big-butt women are adored.
- David said, “the moon, if I could be back by the weekend”.
- In response to our current government shutdown, Maria said, “I would go to Washington DC and give them people a piece of my mind”.
Where would you most like to travel in 2014?
Included also in our responses were quite a few very general comments; a cruise, around the world, and things like that. Further, a small number of folks responded with very specific itineraries showing us that 2014 travel was already clearly thought out and planned.
So, without further ado, here’s the top 10 desired boomer travel destinations for 2014…

Patagonia, Antarctica, South Africa, and New Zealand. Then Galapagos, Easter Island, and South Pacific islands.
Charles, that’s a very adventurous list. It sounds like great fun!
I’ve been to all the countries on your list, so I would select something slightly more exotic and expensive, like the Seychelles, Madagascar, Tibet, Fiji, and anywhere in Polynesia. The island of Palau, however, would top my list!
Dano,
What a great list you have. We’ve been to a few of the French Polynesian islands and can highly recommend them. Here’s a few of our website articles/videos from our visit: https://www.theroamingboomers.com/category/destinations/french-polynesia/
