Roaming Boomers Host First Scottsdale Group Dining Event
Here’s a photograph of twelve of us gathered in Scottsdale to enjoy our very first Roaming Boomers group dining event.
From the very beginning of our Roaming Boomers enterprise, folks have told us that they wanted to come along with us as we explored Scottsdale, the Valley, Arizona, our nation, and the world. Well, the deafening chorus of boomers wanting to come along became so loud, we decided that we should do something about it.
Therefore, we have launched a two-fold group travel strategy:
- Arizona Roaming Boomer Group Events – here we will host frequent group events around Scottsdale, Phoenix, the Valley of the Sun, and even a few group travel events out in the beautiful state of Arizona. These will include dining events with some of the areas best chefs, fun stay-cation weekends, and whatever else our growing group of Arizona boomers think might be fun. - Roaming Boomer Group Travel Events – here we will host fun boomer group travel events around the nation and the world. Our first such event is a 5-day/4-night culinary tour in Santa Fe, New Mexico in October (go here). We’re also working on a fun Alaska cruise for next May, a European river cruise for next fall, and much more. Subscribe to our monthly newsletter to keep abreast of these events and much more
Four Seasons Scottsdale Group Dining Event
We’ve become great friends with the fine folks over at the Four Seasons Scottsdale Resort at Troon North and decided that their Italian wine-pairing dinner would be a wonderful place to host our very first event.
We secured the chef’s table, and within a matter of days, our event was sold out.
Together, the twelve of us enjoyed a fabulous early-harvest peach salad, branzino and langostino, porchetta that was four-days in the making, followed by a fabulous panna cotta/olive cake dessert. Wow!
The wine standout for the evening was a fabulous red Italian Amarone della Valpolicella doc Classico from Cantine Lenotti. Ooooh … that was good!
Chef Ben Lieberman and his team put on a fabulous feast and made us all feel like royal dignitaries.
