Known for its meticulously planned itineraries, Tauck offers a wide range of travel experiences, including river cruises, small ship cruises, land journeys, and family adventures.
Their tours cover destinations across all seven continents, ensuring culturally rich and immersive experiences. Tauck’s commitment to exceptional service is evident in their expert guides, exclusive access to landmarks, and attention to detail. With a focus on creating memorable and enriching journeys, Tauck continues to be a leader in the luxury travel industry.
We have booked scores of Tauck journeys for our clients, and we figured it was high time we experienced Tauck ourselves.
We are huge fans of Tauck and give them our highest praise
When it comes to land journeys, there are many choices in the marketplace. There are 3-star, 4-star, and 5-star offerings. Many have large groups with upwards of 50 people stuffed on a bus, and then there are Tauck’s 5-star small group offerings with only 24 guests.
Our coach could accommodate a maximum of 38 people. However, as we were traveling on one of Tauck’s small group tours, only 22 of us were on board. Our seats offered plenty of legroom and a generous amount of pitch if you wanted to lay your seat back. Our guide gave us very knowledgeable insights as we traveled through the park. He seemed to have eagle eyes as he was always hunting for “4-legged furry creatures.”
On our journey, we saw untold numbers of bison and were very fortunate to encounter quite a number of bears: look here, here, and here.
We also saw elk, mule deer, beautiful ducks, marmots, and various birds, including raptors. However, while some of our members saw moose, we struck out on that front.
Ordinarily, Tauck would have our lodging in the finest 5-star hotels. However, there are no 5-star hotels in Yellowstone. Nonetheless, with Tauck’s long-standing relationships in our national parks, we were fortunate to stay inside the park and enjoy two of the park’s historic lodges. With the popularity of our nation’s national parks, most Yellowstone visitors must lodge outside of the park, adding hours of travel time to their days.
Our guide, Jim, was one of the most prolific and knowledgeable guides we have ever experienced. His vast knowledge of Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons flora and fauna was formidable. I don’t recall anyone stumping him with a question, and we all enjoyed his affable and witty personality.
I shot this photograph of the Grand Tetons on the last day of our journey. The landscapes we witnessed were spectacular, and the animals we encountered added a sense of excitement. We felt well taken care of as we experienced these fabulous parks with Tauck as our guide.
Carol and I journeyed through Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons on our own ten years ago. Having now experienced these parks with Tauck as our guide, we will never again attempt to visit our national parks without Tauck. Their expertise, knowledge, and hands-on experience were invaluable.
In summary, Tauck Tours provides an unparalleled travel experience that combines exclusive access, exceptional service, and a variety of travel styles. For those seeking a truly memorable and enriching journey, Tauck is the ideal choice. We give Tauck our highest praise!
