There are quite a number of great reasons to visit Scottsdale, Arizona in the summer. All of our 5-star resorts are offering packages that are nearly 75% off of the busy season. The Grand Canyon and Sedona are nearby. But perhaps one of the greatest reasons is to experience the amazing skies we get to witness during the monsoon season.
I arose around 4:45 this morning, and just after 5:00 I noticed an eerie yellow glow outside of my window. I can’t begin to explain it, but seemingly everything outside was cast in a mysterious yellow glow that permeated the entire atmosphere.
I grabbed my iPhone and ran outside in hopes of sharing the phenomenon with friends, family, and our readers. And while my iPhone was unable to pick up the yellow glow of the atmosphere, I was able to grab this spectacular sunrise.
So, why visit Scottsdale in the summer? Well, in my humble opinion, our skies offer up scenes that are as mysterious as the elusive Northern Lights. And while I’m tickled to have captured this sunrise, my photograph doesn’t begin to compare with experiencing the real thing.
