Mexico Resort Bookings Surge

Mexico resort bookings surge according to a recent article in the industry magazine, Travel Weekly.

Further, according to the article’s title, “Mexico is Open. It’s welcoming. And it has become a best-seller”.

Further still, Travel Weekly reports, “As quarantine-weary Americans look to venture out, Mexico — despite high Covid-19 infection rates — has become the top international destination for near-term travel, sellers say. That’s likely due in no small part to proximity and that so few other countries, near or far, are currently welcoming Americans without restrictions.”

And to keep social-distancing front of mind, the resorts are only booking between 25% to 30% of their maximum capacity.

I get the surge.  We are all sick and tired of being cooped up in our homes. With Cabo a short two-hour flight from the west coast and Cancun in close proximity to eastern states, people are booking journeys to oceanfront Mexican resorts.

Going back to Cabo is on our bucket list.  When we do, we’re going to stay at the 5-star all-inclusive Grand Velas Los Cabos.
