Learning Healthy Lifestyle Habits at Canyon Ranch Tucson
From USA Today: “As Baby Boomers are aging and accumulating wealth, their spending is growing at a pace that’s leaving younger generations far behind. Spending by the 116 million U.S. consumers age 50 and older was $2.9 trillion last year — up 45% in the past 10 years.”
Some of them, as we witnessed at our recent visit to Canyon Ranch Tucson, are spending money at health and wellness resorts to shake off bad lifestyle habits that have accumulated over their lives.
We first visited the Canyon Ranch organization when we produced “How Baby Boomers do Spring Break in Miami Beach“. And now, we gleefully find ourselves at the fountainhead of the entire enterprise.
The Canyon Ranch mission is to “encourage people to become active, informed participants in their health care because wellness is largely based on everyday lifestyle choices about nutrition, stress management, preventative care and staying fit”.
Well, frankly, Mr. Roaming Boomer needs a booster shot in that department.

We learned a great deal from our friends at Canyon Ranch Tucson, have implemented those lessons into our lifestyles, and can happily report that our wellness-meter has taken a large step forward.
Canyon Ranch Tuscon is a rare blend of luxury resort and spa with on-site medical personnel, exercise physiologists, dietitians, and much, much more.
We hope to find ourselves annually in one of the Canyon Ranch resorts as we continually skip down the path to a healthier life.
We highly recommend that you join us. Who knows, maybe we’ll see you at a Canyon Ranch property sometime in the future!
