Iceland Is Open For Travel
Iceland Is Open For Travel
Hip Hip Hooray! Iceland is open for travel!
The Icelandic government has announced that all those who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can travel to Iceland without triple testing and quarantine.
Passengers will need to undergo one test upon arrival because those individuals may pass on infections. They are not required to stay in quarantine but shall wait for the test result at their place of stay. Results should be available after 6-24 hrs.
NOTE: this is temporary and will be reviewed on the 1st of May.
Before the pandemic, Iceland was on every top-10 list with international travelers pouring in by land and sea.
And now that Iceland has rolled out the welcome mat, I’m confident that we will see Iceland’s popularity rise again.
Iceland is a country of geological extremes.
Widely known as “the land of fire and ice,” Iceland is home to some of the largest glaciers in Europe. Further, Iceland has some of the world’s most active volcanoes.
Further still, Iceland has long summer days with near 24-hours of sunshine. And the winter days, the best time to see the Aurora Borealis, are short with only a few hours of sunlight.
Let’s take a peek at some of the ways to visit Iceland:
