While at a “foodie” function at the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale last night we got a sneak peek of one of Executive Pastry Chef Lance Whipple’s gingerbread houses.

This particular creation is headed to a Prescott gingerbread house competition, but I understand that the gingerbread house that he creates for the Four Seasons Scottsdale is out of this world.

We’re looking forward to a holiday dinner at the Four Seasons Scottsdale soon, but in the meantime, here’s a peek at this man’s talent.

I apologize for the somewhat poor quality of this photograph.  We were whisked away at a moments notice, taken to a super-secret location, and even had to wear a secret-decoder ring to get this Roaming Boomer’s only viewing.

Well, I guess I did exaggerate that a bit.  But, we were granted our own private viewing.

Lance commented that everything in his creation is edible except the Christmas tree lights and the small motor that turns the carousel.
