Bride and Bridesmaids Splashing in a New Orleans Fountain
As a travel photographer, I’ll occasionally come across a completely unexpected scene.
We were walking down the street, after noshing on piping-hot beignets at Café Du Monde in New Orleans, when we heard a chorus of joyous laughter and squealing down a narrow side-street. Ever the inquisitive, we walked down the narrow alley to find out what the ruckus was all about.
To our great surprise, we found a bride and her bridesmaids playing in one of the street fountains. One by one, each hoisted their dress, jumped into the fountain’s icy-cold water and began splashing around.
I’m not certain if this is a New Orleans tradition, but it sure made for a fun photograph.
Tell me, have you ever come across such a scene in your travels?
