Barcelona is a major hub for Mediterranean cruises. Therefore, if you have travel plans that involve a stop in Barcelona, you should pay close attention to this breaking development.
We have reached out to our travel insurance companies to understand what this might mean from a travel insurance perspective. Also, I’m very certain that if civil unrest does break out in Barcelona, the cruise lines will simply avoid the area and reroute their ships and itineraries.
As we have quite a number of clients cruising in and around Barcelona, we will bring you new information as we receive updates from the media, travel insurance companies and the cruise lines. Stay tuned.

Thank you for following this issue. We are scheduled to fly to Barcelona in April and catch a cruise. Information seems limited at this time and we know they do not want to endanger clients but not sure we are getting current information on their decisioning process. We love Barcelona and the people…praying for cooler heads and hearts that want to avoid civil unrest.
