American Queen Steamboat Relaunch for June
The American Queen Steamboat Company to Relaunch in June
The American Queen Steamboat Company to relaunch in June with new safety protocols for a post-COVID-19 world.
The Roaming Boomers team has been busy canceling and rebooking overseas ocean and river cruises.
While we hear a great deal of disappointment from our clients, there still exists a desire to travel in 2020. And many are voicing a passion for domestic travel.
Therefore, to quench your wanderlust, let us recommend the American Queen Steamboat Company.
Carol and I sailed with the folks at the American Queen Steamboat Company last December, and we enjoyed ourselves a great deal. To read our review, CLICK HERE.
In a recent Travel Weekly interview, American Queen Steamboat Company CEO John Waggoner says he is hoping to launch the American Empress in the Pacific Northwest on June 21, followed by the American Duchess on the Mississippi on June 22.
Furthermore, the team at American Queen has just released an extensive new list of health and safety protocols to keep guests and crew safe and sound.
As you read through the list, I think you will find comfort in the extensive screening that will take place before boarding the ship. Additionally, there now exists health monitoring during the cruise with a health professional on board. Further still, the list of onboard sanitary measures, including electrostatic fogging, is quite impressive.
So, what do you think? While the rest of the world remains closed, do you want to try a domestic river cruise?

Very useful information about American Queen cruises. Have you seen any similar info from American Cruise Lines? We have a booking with them for a Mississippi cruise in November. I have yet to receive any reassuring info from them as to what they are planning for the balance of 2020.
Thanks.
Hi Doug, while we can and do book American Cruise Lines for our clients, they are yet to be a part of our Virtuoso Travel Network, so I don’t have much on them yet.
