Welcome to The Roaming Boomers!

We are David & Carol Porter from Scottsdale, Arizona.

When I (David) was in college, I had the opportunity to roam the cities of Europe for 30 days each year. This experience made a profound, and lasting impact on my life. I developed a love for travel, a child-like curiosity, and a passionate sense of wonder as I viewed beautiful, and diverse landscapes.

Fast forward thirty years, and I now find that I have successfully passed that adventurous spirit on to my wife. During the last twenty years, as business owners, we always set aside time to explore the world, visit great museums, hike wonderful trails, dine in fabulous restaurants, unwind in the finest resorts, and generally roam about with wide-eyed wonder.

Now that we have sold our business, we have decided to ramp up our roaming, and invite the world to follow along with us in this website!

We have relocated from Michigan to Scottsdale, Arizona, and it is from here that we will headquarter our new enterprise. Because Arizona, and the Valley of the Sun are world class destinations, we plan to make a high percentage of our explorations in our own back yard. Additionally, we intended to augment our local journeys with a variety of “long weekend” trips, fabulous destination trips, cruises, hiking, visiting museums, exploring wonderful dining establishments, resorts, as well as throwing in a few helpful product recommendations along the way.

We are very excited about this adventure. In fact, we can’t wait to get started.
